Alex Osborne Candidacy
TAKING the next step in his journey towards being a priest, Archdiocesan seminarian Alexander Osborne was admitted to Candidacy for the priesthood at the 11am St Christopher’s Cathedral Mass on Sunday.
He was supported by his family as well as his fellow seminarians from the Archdiocese: Deacon Joshua Scott, Namora Anderson, Eden Langlands, Mark Ha, Lourdhu Raju Upputholla, Adrian Chan and Foliga Etuale.
Archbishop Christopher Prowse formalised the admittance to Candidacy by giving Mr Osborne his official blessing in a small ceremony which took place after the homily.
Members of the Canberra Serra Club were present for the Mass, while large numbers of the Filipino community also attended celebrating 119 years of independence.
