In Anticipation

A mate of mine is wise. He says that in tough jobs we need to have something to look forward to.

Life has failures and disappointments. We weep and we cry. But God helps us look forward:

“Thus says the Lord: Now I create new heavens and a new earth, and the past will not be remembered and will no longer come to our minds. … No more will the sound of weeping or the sound of cries be heard in her” (Isaiah 65).

We live in anticipation. The future penetrates the past and present. How comforting!

Amen.
