Eight Days of Bliss

Yes, that’s right. We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus for eight days. It’s called the Easter Octave. Today is day two.
The first reading from Acts 2:
God raised this man Jesus to life, and all of us are witnesses to that.
Notice what is being proclaimed. The Father raises Jesus from the dead.
Jesus had been “lifted up” in sacrifice to the Father and given for us.
God the Father accepts the surrender by reaching down and raising his Son from death.
We are witnesses to this divine momentum in history. It is unstoppable.
