Really, truly

The Eucharist is a divine mystery – the Divine Mystery – How can we begin to understand it?
Jesus says He is the bread of life, which means the necessary source of substance. The food He is isn’t extraneous to our spiritual success – it’s essential.
Whoever eats this bread will live forever.
Physical food allows us to live for a time, indeed for a very short time. The bread that Jesus gives, which is identical to His very life and substance, provides life in the fuller sense. Why? It does this because it links us to the source of life.
If we want that life – and deep down, everyone does want life eternal and to be in communion with God – we need to eat that bread.
It’s not just Jesus’ teaching or his example that matters – He matters.
We all need the Body of Christ to nourish our souls and keep us in communion with God.
Do you feel like you’re starving spiritually, then go to the Eucharist.
For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.
