Prayers for the ACT Select Committee Hearings into End of Life Choices

Beginning this Thursday 17th and continuing every Thursday and Friday for the next four weeks, the ACT Select Committee into End of Life Choices will be conducting hearings from groups and individuals who have made submissions regarding Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide.  The hearings can be watched live online at  http://aod.parliament.act.gov.au/

In all, 487 parties have put in submissions which can be read at
https://www.parliament.act.gov.au/in-committees/select_committees/end-of-life-choices/inquiry-into-end-of-life-choices-in-the-act

Of the local groups and individuals who made submissions it appears that 150 express views opposed to Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide and less than 90 seem to be in favour.

Archbishop Christopher will appear before the Committee this Friday afternoon.

It is important time to pray for the Select Committee that wisdom will prevail and the common good will be protected.
