Rejoice and Be Glad 3

The first reading proclaims that Lydia “listened to us, and the Lord opened her heart to accept what Paul was saying.” She and her family were duly baptised.

Pope Francis teaches:

How can we fail to realise the need to stop the rat race and recover the personal space needed to carry on a heartfelt dialogue with God?

Finding that space may prove painful but it is always fruitful.

Sooner or later, we have to face our true selves and let the Lord enter.

Lydia had good sense and courage. Do we have it?

Amen.
