The Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn celebrated the recognition received by St Christopher’s Pastoral and Residential Centre at the Australian Institute of Architects’ 2018 ACT Architecture Awards which took place at the National Gallery of Australia on Saturday 23 June.
The awards include an award for Public Architecture, Interior Architecture, and Residential Architecture – Multiple Housing, along with a commendation in Urban Design.
In addition to these accolades, the project was also recognised as the best Commercial Building in its category at the recent ACT Master Builders Building Excellence Awards.
Archdiocesan Financial Administrator, Helen Delahunty, said it is very much a case of reward for effort.
“Successful projects are always the result of a close creative collaboration between Client, Architect, and Builder. Working with Cox Architecture and Hindmarsh Constructions on the St Christopher’s Precinct has certainly been a case in point.,” she said.
