“Whoever does the will of my heavenly Father is my brother, and sister, and mother”
24 July 2018
In today’s Gospel, Jesus invites us into the most intimate of associations: the motley band of those who, like Jesus, desire nothing more passionately than to do the will of his Father.
Jesus taught us to call God our Father and encouraged us to pray “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”
As our head prays those words, may our heart come to truly desire what they express.
Holy Spirit, help us to experience the joy of identifying as Jesus’ kinsfolk, His friends, His co-workers by loving what He loves most: to do the will of His Father.
