Apparently, St. John Paul II was often found in the papal chapel prostrate on the floor in prayer.
St. Paul today prays one of the most beautiful prayers in the New Testament – Ephesians 3:14-21. He introduces it by describing his body posture:
“This is what I pray, kneeling before the Father, from whom every family, whether spiritual or natural, takes its name.”
We are body, soul and spirit. We should, therefore, pray according to our human nature, for grace nurtures nature and never supplants it.
Why not check out your body posture during prayer? It might be helpful.
Amen.
