Child Protection Code of Conduct
The Code of Conduct informs and reminds all employees and volunteers of the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn of the standards of behaviour as well as other requirements that must be adhered to when working with children.
All employees and volunteers within Parishes are asked to sign the declaration to the Code found below, and return to their Parish secretary.
The implementation of this Code of Conduct is a reminder that our children are a gift from God. They are valued and are to be loved, respected and cared for in a manner that meets both the teachings of the Gospel and the expectations of our community.
The implementation of the Child Protection Code of Conduct also responds to recommendations of the Royal Commission, specifically in relation to the implementation of Child Safe Standards.
