NSW Child Sexual Abuse Laws

In June 2018, the NSW Government reformed laws to better protect children and improve outcomes for survivors with the passage of the Criminal Legislation Amendment (Child Sexual Abuse) Act 2018.  On the 31st of August 2018, this Act introduced new offences of failure to reduce or remove the risk of child abuse, and failure to report child abuse, as well as amendments to sentencing procedures for historical child sexual abuse.

A fact sheet on these new laws can be found here.
