New NSW Child Sexual Abuse Laws
The NSW Government in June 2018 reformed laws to better protect children and improve outcomes for survivors with the passage of the Criminal Legislation Amendment (Child Sexual Abuse) Act 2018. On 31 August 2018, this Act introduced new offences of failure to reduce or remove the risk of child abuse, and failure to report child abuse, as well as amendments to sentencing procedures for historical child sexual abuse.
