The Archdiocese aims are to support survivors with the reassurance that all our communities are safe, our children and vulnerable people are truly cared for, and the spiritual dimension of all we do is not compromised by unethical and criminal behaviour.
If you (as an adult) know of or believe a child is currently has been or is being abused, then you must report to the Police, 131 444. If you believe a child’s life in in immediate danger please call 000.
Failure to report information to police without a reasonable excuse is a criminal offence which may carry a penalty of imprisonment.
If you or another adult close to you has been abused by someone working or ministering within the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn, we invite you to contact us.
We will listen to you respectfully, offer support,advise of any reporting obligations we may have and discuss the options you have available to you.
